GOLD CHAIN...

American Apparel is now exclusively (and by exclusively, I mean buying out all of the remaining stock to claim as theirs) selling high quality solid metal chain necklaces that were produced between 1970 and 1985 at the Esse-Pi Factory in Milan, Italy. The above three are all different styles by the way, but if you'd like to cop some vintage metal/gold chains to freshen that outfit up...then I guess you can pay anywhere between $40 and $48 for these joints. Check 'em out right hurr!

BARRACUDA SALE

Would a Barracuda sale be a Barracuda Salada (salad)? Well in any case, enjoy 25% off everything! If you haven't gotten the chance, visit their new store at 7769 Melrose Avenue, just 2 blocks east of Fairfax.

MOVING...

I'm in the huge process of moving - both apartments and this blog! Big changes are going down this summer....so keep them eyes peeled. It's so damn hot to do anything right now though, it's quite frustrating when you can't stand outside for more then 4 seconds because by the end of it you're a hot sweaty mess. In the mean time, listening to good music, drinking lots of water, and planning for the future until things happen. Until then, please bear with me!

TO-OR-ISM

JC Report taught me something new today...about Streetwear Safari. I am fascinated with all things global - and literally traveling the world is something I dream of doing. If you're anything like me, you might feel this Streetwear Safari thing that I'm thinking is gonna be pretty hawt. Kenyan-born Brian Gathii bases his brand, To-orist, in London and the line is certainly like going on a colorful African safari.

Designer Brian Gathii:
To-orist gets inspiration from the otherwise annoying tourists that swarm every city of the earth - and thus, Gathii offers a line that brings together worldwide exploration, art, science, wild animal prints and Tutenkahmens to create a colorful fusion of trans-seasonal pieces.

Love it love it love it, but the only stockist in USA is in New York??? Check out the website for its bizarre 16th century feel, which is only the beginning of Gathii's travels. I personally love the colors and the mad-cute graphics, and I'm sure the animal prints hit the spot for some of you out there. Summer time called and said it's safari time!

POLITICS AS USUAL

This year is already jam-packed with politics, legislation, protests, and pure rivalry as far as the presidential race is concerned. And whether you're an Obama lover or a hater, photojournalist Harry Benson opens an exhibition that's worth seeing this weekend. The exhibition is entitled Politics as Usual: As seen by Harry Benson and takes place at the David Gallery in Culver City.

Benson has photographed every U.S. president from Eisenhower to George W. Bush; was just feet away from Bobby Kennedy the night he was assassinated and in the room with Richard Nixon when he resigned; witnessed both the construction and demolition of the Berlin Wall; and covered the Gulf War and the struggle in Afghanistan.

Take a peek at some of his spectacular shots, courtesy of David Gallery:

Al Pacino, Coppola & Diane Keaton in "The Godfather"
"Jackie"
"Beatles Pillow Fight"
"Judy Garland"
"MLK Family"
The exhibit runs through August 23, but head over to the gallery this Saturday for the reception and book signing from 6 to 8 pm.

BONEYARDS @ LA BREA

Friday!
Then, on the following day, the release of these:Ooh haaa!

MISSBEHAVE YOURSELF.

Here's the cover of the current issue of MissBehave magazine.I've been checking back at my local newsstand/Border's/Barnes & Nobles for a cool minute now and none of them carry MissBehave although they may have Mass Appeal! I am getting a little angry, because I want my physical copy of MissBehave right now in my hands so I can read before I hit the sack or the bathroom and my mind straight on dope magazines. So please, if you know of any bookstore or newsstand that carries MissBehave, email me or comment!!! I might have to start a subscription if it comes down to it...But nonetheless, the cover looks amazing and the content seems to be rockin' as well!
