COMME DES GARCONS x JUNYA WATANABE x VANS

So I have an obsession for men's oxford shoes, and I love this new collaboration between Vans and Junya Watanabe for Comme des Garcons.
Premium leather mixed with the Vans classic design is on point for you fellas.
Brown ones are totally sick. They dropped at Isetan department store in Tokyo, but no words on them found in the US yet...-Via SlamxHype

BAPE LOVE FOR FEBRUARY

A Bathing Ape releases for February highlights a shoutout to Valentine's Day from the Baby Milo characters.

NY FASHION WEEK - DAY 2: UNITED BAMBOO

Thuy Pham and Miho Aoki of United Bamboo constructed a very feminine, kawaii look complete with bows and origami-detailing.
Their streamlined high-waisted skirts complemented the flowy tops to reveal a sexy, preppy look totally appropriate for the office:
And a new take on the little black dress consisting of an overlay of cords and metallic tubes:-Images from Style.com

NY FASHION WEEK - DAY 2: ALEXANDER WANG

New York Fashion Week Day 2 kicks off with Alexander Wang's tough-girl themed collection for Fall 2008.
The over-sized sweaters and the feminine tops and skirts are on point in this collection.
Skinny pants and the simple tee+vest combination is a flawless look all in itself, and of course, ripped tights make everything more bad-to-the-bone.
Here are some highlights that I would totally rock:-Images from New York Magazine.

MARC JACOBS <3 SPONGEBOB

We common folks actually have something we can share with the designer...our favorite friend, Spongebob!
Marc Jacobs loves SpongeBob SquarePants. “I just think the colors of that particular cartoon are really beautiful and really sophisticated and interesting,” Jacobs said last night at the party for the screening of Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton, the documentary about the designer during his geekier brunette days which will run on the Sundance Channel next week. “I have a tattoo of him on my arm,” he added.

LIMITED LIMITED EDITION - LIMITED TIME ONLY!

How much more limited can the world get?
LAMJC (co-produced with Colette), who has released their ALL GONE book that displays the hottest limited products and artwork of 2007, has decided to release a limited edition of the already limited edition book (for a limited time only).
All they've done is swap the color way of the cover of the book from purple to silver - which definitely is shinier, and thus more limited edition.
The original version was limited to 1500 copies, and this limited limited edition is kept down to 500 copies available.
See if you can get on the limited edition game by checking out Sold Out before it gets sold out.(How many times did I say limited?)

NY FASHION WEEK - DAY 1: RAG & BONE

New York Fashion Week officially kicked off yesterday at Bryant Park for Fall 2008 Collections. Wheee!
I've decided to highlight Rag & Bone out of the handful of designers that showcased their collections.
The menswear detailing is again prevalent in these looks, and I can't wait to see the rest of the shows coming up this week for their fall looks. You can get the full scoop on ALL the shows taking place during Fashion Week at Style.com.

PAU CHIKA PAU PAU

Everyone and their mother was talking about this recent gain in talent for the Lakers today:

The Lakers have acquired forward-center Pau Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies for center Kwame Brown and guard Javaris Crittenton
Gasol, 27, is averaging 18.9 points and 8.8 rebounds this season for the Grizzlies. He has expressed discontent in the past year with the Grizzlies (13-33) who have not been in playoffs since 2006 and have never won a playoff game since he was drafted in 2001.

He was the NBA's rookie of the year in 2001-02 and made the All-Star team in 2006.

Gasol has three more years and an estimated $49 million on his contract. Brown's $9.1-million contract expires after this season and Crittenton is a rookie.

Gasol would fill in at center until Andrew Bynum returns from a knee injury sometime in March. Gasol could then slide over to power forward when Bynum returns.
.
This means:
OUT:
IN: I'm no die-hard Laker freaker, but I got love for LA. Go Pau go.

COLETTE: AMOUR DE MA VIE.

Everyone's been talking about how great French store Colette is, and their new re-made website, and so I decided to check out what the fuss was all about.
Once I entered the site, it was love at first site (sight...get it?)
The newly KRINKed out site is so playful - it made me wanna jump and jam to the awesome selection of music they've got spinning. They've got lots to offer on their e-shop, like this Be@rBrick with a heart of love for your stylish valentine (yes, I know Valentine's Day is the worst day of the year for some of us, reiterating the fact that we are indeed lonely, but I've got a positive outlook for all of you eager beavers for that special day so here are some pretty dope gift ideas):Or maybe a Nuit Blanche x Keith Haring Chocolate Box filled with personalized chocolates for that sweet artlover:And moving on to summer sneak peeks with the neon trend this year, a selection of Alife sneakers and Repetto flats:
And continuing with the neon trend, a preview of Marc Jacobs' line of totally neon Stam bags, with more neon small leather goods on the way for the summer:Or that new Chloe perfume that's bottled up ever so intricately:I'm in love with this new collaboration between Jean Pigozzi's 6-month-old brand, Limoland and Yoshida (parent company of our favorite Porter line):Support the masterminds behind the Colette website by purchasing some Krink Color Squeeze Markers:And finally, dress yourself up in this SWEET little necklace by Tatty Devine:I must say, I am obsessed with the products, design, and outlook of this store.
Go have some fun at their website and soak up the French love...

RAPPERS & CLOTHING LINES

So there's been a new craze for a while now, where the cool thing is to start a clothing line.
Rappers have been recently jumping on this bandwagon, and listen to Satchel of Gravel's take on Why Rappers Shouldn't Have Clothing Lines.

Pretty funny article, I must say.
