WWD says the line will consist of “bomber jackets, leggings and T-shirts, all done up in the bold hues and graphic prints for which the singer is known”. It was expected, since last Halloween proved M.I.A.'s popularity when suddenly all things loud, printed, and tribal were among the most-wanted. Hope the line turns out sweet, so we don't have to totally rely on long days at the flea market or the thrift shop and American Apparel.

PRINCESS OF THE POSSE
I'm feeling this new label that I discovered, based in New York, called Princess Of The Posse. The POP girl infuses "streetwear with high-end sensibilities" - exactly what the Lipped Jeanius is all about! I gave the line's lookbook a quick peek, and it's definitely looking good. Hopefully, they'll grow enough to expand to more than just tees and tanks and get a handle on cut + sewn pieces as well as accessories. ..can a white boy (aka Jesse McCartney) who was in the pop boy band Dream Street and toured with Aaron Carter and previously sung about a beautiful soul, have enough street cred to go out making a new song called "Leavin'" saying he gonna take a girl out and "let it rain", that she should call her "shawty" and tell him she found a new man, and finally, to top it off, he claims he can dance with: "you know that I will walk it out"....Basically, he composed a pop song where he took lines out of rap songs sung by RAPPERS or R&B artists (Fat Joe/Lil Wayne, Lloyd, Unk). I just think the image he is trying to portray is so funny. It's like you hard now or what? But really, his music video for this song is mad raunchy - looks like he's gonna be losing 90% of his fan base that consists of tween girls and boys.Jesse all grown. What's next: Jimmy Jones' "Ballin'!", blunts, booze, and bitches????

This collection drops in stores on May 18th, but if you really can't wait that long, Barneys New York has agreed to launch this collection in advance of the Target drop in their flagship stores in New York and Beverly Hills. The collection will be launched on May 8th for the New York store, and May 15th for the Beverly Hills store, and both stores will have the collection in the Co-Op area, and it will only last for 5 days for both stores.
Remember to mark your calendars, I'm sure this collection will be a hit for affordable summer clothing!
