KOBE VS. ASTON MARTIN

LEGIT?

HINT OF ROYALE MINT.

Why Mint Royale rocks:

1) Unapologetic, simple-minded, and celebratory, Britain's Mint Royale follow the more partied-up Big Beat cues from the likes of Fatboy Slim, Bentley Rhythm Ace, and other Skint acts while moving it towards a more conscious reconciliation of pop tricks. The duo of Neil Claxton and Chris Baker first got started as the Mint Gun Club -- releasing just one single -- but gained the quickest notoriety by extremely popular remixes of Kenickie's "I Will Fix You" and Terrorvision's "Tequila" (the latter of which reaching number two in the U.K. charts). The hands-in-the-air revelry and mirth-driven breakbeats of these early releases were an early indicator of where the band was headed with their easygoing vibes. It wasn't entirely unfathomable that -- along with Scanty Sandwich -- many listeners even theorized that Mint Royale was simply another pseudonym for Norman Cook. Regardless, their debut album, On the Ropes, was finally released on Faith & Hope Records in the very Big Beat-hostile nadir of late 1999, propelled by the deliriously catchy, ex-Kenickie Lauren Laverne-starring single, "Don't Falter." -Dean Carlson, All Music Guide

BAPE LA - FINALLY!

GLOW IN THE DARK - T MINUS 10 DAYS!

Okay I don't know what kind of crazy ass shit 'Ye is trying to pull, but coming from his behind the scenes footage on his blog, it's going to be so insane, that I won't be able to blog about it due to shock and the lack of ability to think of appropriate words, and then my so-called side job as an amateur blogger goes down the drain. I'm sorry, but if you are a fan of Kanye, Lupe, Pharrell, N.E.R.D., and even Rihanna..and you don't have tickets to go to this show..um WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU THINKING?!
Well, you can always check out Craigslist or eBay and pay ridiculous amounts for seats, but if you got the greens, why not?! When will this kind of show ever happen again? Re-charge & re-think...and while you're at it...RECYCLE. Ok this is turning into an A.D.D.-type post, due to my lack of sleep. So I'll leave here. And the countdown continues...

IT NEVER HAPPENED

Talk about jam-packed weekend?!

BRINGIN' BACK THE ILL.

You hungry for some throwback Starters or your favorite NBA team windbreaker. No need to head to search for hours on eBay, STILL ILL has got you on lock. Andrew Freeborn started this online shop to sell brand new goodies ranging from hats, outerwear, footwear, and accessories from the 80's and the 90's.

“STILL ILL” is a place for me to sell the vintage items I find on my travels. I am always hunting for vintage gear for myself, and this online store is a collection of items I found along the way. I specialize in items from the late 80’s and early 90’s, and everything I sell is in brand new/unworn condition. The majority of my items are in excellent condition, and i will be sure to note any imperfections in the description of any item that is less than perfect.

Stay fresh to death, because you know, vintage never gets too old.

THREAD FASHION TRADESHOW

This independent tradeshow is open to the public, on Sunday, April 13th. If you're down in San Deezy this weekend, make sure to RSVP!

MY LIP CHAP IS POPPIN' - WTF!

Saaphyri remade that Lil Mama "classic" into this son of a gun low-budget music video to throw it down about her "lip chap" (again, WTF!)Then the girl...the one who started..this..stuff..said "no this my bed", "this not your bed", "no this is my bed":How many times did she say "bed" or..."bayd"? Last 5 seconds is classic. Homegirl angry this girl didn't want none of that lip chap.

POLYGAMIST COMPOUND MARRIED GIRLS AT PUBERTY

One more bit of news that's been going on recently, this time in Texas:
This is too disturbing:
The compound was raided Thursday after the 16-year-old girl called a local family violence shelter March 29 and 30, using someone else's cell phone and speaking in hushed tones to avoid being overheard, McFadden's affidavit said.

The girl said she was not allowed to leave the compound unless she was ill. She told the shelter that her husband would "beat and hurt" her when he got angry, including hitting her in the chest and choking her while another woman in the house held her baby.

The girl also said her husband sexually assaulted her, and that she was several weeks pregnant. The girl told the shelter her husband went to "the outsiders' world" but didn't know where.

Wow, the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints...I shudder and get goosebumps thinking about the way these people lived. That's just wrong... I mean I understand polygamy has been practiced since waay back when, and I can kinda see that, although we all know we don't need any more pimps and playas out there in the world, but polygamy with sixteen year old girls? PLEASE STOP!

SO ABOUT THAT OTHER GIRL THAT SINGS "UMBRELLA"

Half Japanese, half Irish-American beauty, MariƩ (pronounced mar-ee-ay) Digby is FINALLY releasing her album Untold tomorrow! The singer-songwriter has paid her dues while working her way up by performing at open mic nights, to getting signed, to YouTube-ing it, and finally getting her claim to fame when STAR 98.7 played the "Umbrella" song on air. It may be a surprise, but she was signed to a label WAY before she started showing up on YouTube in 2007 with dozens of covers, oftentimes, proving to be better in a more soothing way than the originals.
When her label, Hollywood Label, delayed the release of her album, she decided to debut on YouTube in order to prove that she had an established fan base willing to purchase her album. Her songs have been featured on MTV's The Hills, and she's got an up-coming sold-out show at The Troubadour in WeHo. Her voice is so soothing and I feel like you can never get sick of her, no matter what she's singing.
Read more about MariƩ in the interview by Asia Pacific Arts, and check out her YouTube performances if you haven't done so yet.
But..uh go cop her album, I'm sure it's gonna be worth it.

JOIN THE SUPERLATIVE CONSPIRACY

So I think I was too shocked/depressed/angry to write about anything this whole weekend - in addition to the fact that there was nothing worthy to write about - so, I MUST follow my at-least-once-a-day posting routine so I do not let the loyal reader (if there are any...stand up!) down and left with a frown.

Anyway, I've been looking into buying some new headphones from WeSC to join the Superlative Conspiracy. I've heard that the in-ear headphones are very comfortable, an upgrade from that ordinary iPod stock ones. The ones that I'm currently considering are:
The Premium HeadphonesThe Street HeadphonesThe Classic HeadphonesI love the various colorways that is available, but I'm also wondering if The In Ear Headphones come in another color other than black?...Well, in any case, shop for your favorite WESC headphones at Karmaloop or check out WeSC for retailers.
I'm out for the weekend and in with the dreadful 5-day nonstop weekdays with the latest WeSC headphone advertisements:"WeAreTheSuperlativeConspiracy."
