FINAL FOUR DISAPPOINTMENT

I knew this was going to be a tough Final Four this year with all 4 teams being number one seeds. But I didn't know it would be so bad. I write this as I sit here watching my HDTV - there's 1:15 left for UCLA to endure Memphis's supreme under-the-basket & fast break dominance. It's come to an end. I'm very angry for Collison to have made that final foul, I'm disappointed in Love for not getting open and fighting of the Memphis defense, and I'm just utterly shocked that we aren't going to the championship game. I had faith, but the opposing team was faster, more consistent, and made their free throws. Boo hoo hoo. Final score: 78 to 63. See you next year, Final Four. I'm going to go cry now. I don't know if it's worth the image posts.

WHERE BROOKLYN AT?

Apparently, Brooklyn's where it's at tonight. Brooklyn Museum, that is.
Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami are celebrating Murakami's "© Murakami" exhibition with a "Brooklyn Ball", featuring a performance by none other than Louis Vuitton Don himself, Kanye West.
The celebration will also include the unveiling of a new camouflage print developed by Murakami and Marc Jacobs called Monogramouflage and a special installation designed to bring attention to one of the industry's biggest travails — counterfeits. To show how serious the company is about fakes, outside the museum, Louis Vuitton is setting up 10 New York-style street vendors — not to sell fakes, but rather authentic Louis Vuitton product and special Monogramouflage canvases that Murakami has created specifically for the exhibition.Much love to this man, an inspiration for all!

PEN. MEN. HEN.. JEN. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

The past couple of weeks have reiterated my mini-epiphany that I need to keep my good friends close, no matter how far they live or how long I haven't seen them for. Seeing friends that I don't often talk to or have the chance to catch up with is always the greatest feeling when you can sit down and talk, and for it to be smooth and cool, just like it was when you last saw them. Does anyone feel me on this? I'm sure many do. Anyway, this is not some anecdotal post about my friends, but I do want to dedicate this post to my girl Jennifer. She is about to go insane in the membrane (I hope she does) because it's her big 21 today!Maybe she can party with her Cal Dance Team mates, or maybe she'll get the chance to party it up with the fellas and the ladies she cheers for...(Go Bears!..uhh sorry, but more so Go Bruins!)Jen, if you read this, and I hope you do, please have a drink in your hand at all times tonight. You're freaking 21! Have fun in the yay area, have a couple drinks and go bananas! Kobe even says this one's for you, and he and Pau (who is returning to play tonight at the Staples Center hosting Portland) are gonna tear it up!Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNIFART and see you soon!
-Sorry I stole the pictures from your Facebook, but I did look vigorously for the Kobe photo that I found at BballOne.com.

BUTTERFINGERS

A LOCKED UP WEDDING

Remy Ma's conviction on assault Thursday certainly was emotional. The Bronx rapper cried as the judge ordered her to be held in prison until her April 23 sentencing. And now, Brooklyn rapper Papoose — long-rumored to be her paramour — has confirmed to MTV News that he and Remy are, in fact, a couple and had plans to marry next month.

Pap said the two are moving forward with their nuptials despite Ma's predicament and are making arrangements to marry in prison. "We always wanted to keep our personal lives personal, so that's why we never went public with our relationship," he wrote in an e-mail to MTV News. "Right now, I just feel like she gotta live through me. Yes, we were scheduled to be married on a yacht April 27th. But due to circumstances beyond our control, we are now making arrangements to be married in prison."

The couple rebutted rumors earlier in the year when New York radio personality Egypt reported that the two would wed. The next day, Papoose told media outlets the reports were false. He shied away from the relationship question in spite of the affection he showed the former Terror Squad star in lyrics. "Remy look good in person, just like she do in the magazines/ So I'mma stay close to Miss Martin like Dr. King," he spit on "Bonnie N Clyde," a mixtape collaboration between the two. The pair also filmed an online video clip of them sparring when Papoose was embroiled in a lyrical slugfest with Remy Ma's former mentor, Fat Joe.

Earlier this week, in an interview with MTV News prior to Remy Ma's conviction, Papoose declined to comment on her pending case. He explained that the two were friends. With the recent turn of events, the rapper felt it was time to reveal their relationship. Remy's charges stem from an incident last July when the rapper and Makeda Barnes-Joseph argued after leaving a mutual acquaintance's birthday party. Remy Ma (real name: Reminisce Smith) alleged Barnes-Joseph stole several thousand dollars from her purse that night; Barnes-Joseph was shot after the two struggled in her car. Remy Ma fled the scene in an SUV but crashed nearby. Neither the money nor the weapon have been found.

Papoose closed his message by reiterating that Remy Ma would be appealing her case. He also asked for fans to write letters on her behalf, perhaps for a petition to the judge. Remy Ma is scheduled to be sentenced April 23. "All her supporters who feel Remy had an influence on their life should write a short letter to the judge asking for the shortest sentence possible," he wrote. "Send it to LettersForRemy@gmail.com."

You ready for that Pap? You ready to see your lady in orange? Do you REALLY wanna make Remy Ma, who knows how to handle her guns, your wifey? All I can say...is wow.

FLOCKE THE POLAR BEAR CUB.

Flocke was separated from her mother Vera after officials at the Nuremberg zoo became concerned she might harm the cub.
There. A better way to end a long Saturday night. Peace & good night.

GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS.

No, this is not a post about Jay-Z, or his song.
It's not new that I look through many many many articles a day. Not just articles of blogs or websites, but articles of clothing as well - both men and women.
This could possibly be a form of addiction that has taken hold of me and physicall and mentally attached me onto the computer screen viewing at least 4 tabs on Firefox at least for a couple hours a day.
But recently, I had a realization that needs to be addressed for the sake of my sanity. There's always this huge "trend" in t-shirt designs, and as of now, it's really getting tiring (and mostly annoying) to see the same kinds of designs over and over again on different lines that claim to be unique and original.
What I've come to notice the most about artwork on tees is that they incorporate: Kate Moss or Marilyn Monroe, naked girls, Kate Moss naked, guns, neon zebra prints, "fuck you", logos constructed to look like the Run-DMC logo, or sunglasses - particularly Wayfarers and shutter shades.
You know, I'm cool with the naked girls and the boobies everywhere, I understand it's a guy thing and guys get utterly excited and stimulated to see pictorial representations of female body parts, but this new "trend" I see with lesbian lover action - is NOT so cool.
This is taking the graphic in graphic design to an extreme here.
Don't be mistaken, I am not homophobic nor anti-LGBT/queer (Embrace, don't hate), I just can't help but think that guys who wear these types of shirts must really be into having others stare at what they wear, or they are just dirty bastards wanting to visually see what they imagine in what they rock on their bodies.
Allow me to present you with prime examples, most of them JUST dropped in stores for Spring 2008 line, of girl on girl action:
Foreign Family:Foreign Family:IM KING:Twelve Bar:There's much more, I know, but I'm just getting too freakin' tired to look.
But really, why???
I mean it's all good, people enjoy these things, and I'm glad a graphic on a tee can create more joy in their lives, but really. This is one "trend" that I hope won't last long. Let's clear the mind, and enjoy some better thoughts, and call it a night.
I think I'm going to have to post something, just something so I don't leave off on this note.
